HALO ODST Contemplations on Supersoldiers and Exoskeletons

The HALO ODST project started as a Halo movie project involving Peter Jackson of Lord of the Rings.

HALO is fiction that has one of the more well thought out looks at a world with supersoldiers, combat exoskeletons, interstellar travel, artificial intelligence and other future technologies.

Players in HALO ODST assume the roles of elite human United Nations Space Command soldiers known as Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODSTs) during the events of Halo 2 and Halo 3. After the alliance of alien races known as the Covenant attack Earth, the player explores the ruined city of New Mombasa to discover what happened to their missing teammates, separated from each other as they entered the city

Halo is set several centuries in the future. After the development of the “Shaw-Fujikawa Translight Engine”, the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) begins a program of interstellar travel and planetary colonization.

The SPARTAN project was secretly commissioned to create an elite corps of supersoldiers who could stem rebellion in the UNSC colonies; these soldiers became the best weapon against the alien Covenant when war broke out
