The speach recognition thing is something I have really been thinking about with respect to mobile devices like pda phones. For mobile devices like these, the most frustrating bits are the keyboard and displays. More advanced speach recognition software embedded into these devices could really help people out. For the displays, I have been reading about upcoming eyeglass-mountable ultra-miniature displays that can beam images directly into the users eyes.
I think that processing power is the biggest hurdle for these kinds of advances. Any thoughts?
