North Dakota set a production record for the each of the first six our of seven months of the year. They are up over one hundred thousand barrels of per day from 13 months ago. Production for July, 2010 averaged 321,042 barrels of oil per day.
Current oil pipeline and rail capacity is for 425,000 barrels of oil per day for Montana and North Dakota. The two states were producing about 385,000 barrels of oil per day in July. Production will exceed 450,000 barrels of oil per day in 2013 and will be around one million barrels of oil per day by 2020.
Transcanada corporation will put more oil pipelines into service to move the increased production.
Alaska’s north slope 2010 oil production will be 6.9 percent lower than that achieved in the previous fiscal year, averaging 650,000 barrels per day, according to the forecast. Production in fiscal 2011 will drop another 4.8 percent to 619,000 barrels per day, according to the forecast.
Texas preliminary May 2010 crude oil production averaged 929,347 barrels daily, up from the 894,716 barrels daily average of May 2009. The preliminary Texas crude oil production figure for May 2010 is 28,809,744 barrels, up from 27,736,202 barrels reported during May 2009.
