Anime themed mobile games are huge in China

China’s mobile gaming market recorded total revenue of 35.6 billion yuan (US$5.1 billion) for the third quarter. This was up 17% year-on-year and 10 percent sequentially.

Anime-themed titles generated nearly 40% of total gross revenue from the two dozen new games released in the third quarter. This was about $2 billion of revenue for the quarter.

China has tightened gaming access this year over internet addiction, childhood myopia and inappropriate content.

  1. To be honest, I don't really like anime games. I prefer anime as movies or TV series. As for games, I love to play csgo. Probably my favorite game. I also have a fairly large collection of skins that I add to regularly. If you also want to buy a csgo skin, then I can advise you to check this link https://dmarket.com/csgo-skins/product-card/glock-18-fade. I found this glock fade skin recently and I think I will buy it.

  2. Didn’t the Chinese government just clamp down on computer games as an enormous waste of time and a source of bad ideas (i.e. ideas from somewhere besides their government) for their people? I heard TenCent and others might be in meltdown because of this.
