Microsoft Co-Founder Paul Allen died from complications of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma on Monday afternoon.
Allen’s Vulcan Inc. announced that he died in Seattle at 65 years old.
Paul Allen has previously donated
$500+ million to brain research
$1 billion to Artificial Intelligence research
$100 million to fight Ebola
Paul Allen donated the seed money to build SETI’s Allen Telescope Array, eventually contributing $30 million to the project
There were many other science programs and charities funded by Paul Allen.
Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen had previously announced that he would leave the majority of his multibillion-dollar (estimated at $20-28 billion) estate to charity. In addition, the foundation announced awards totaling $3.9 million to forty-one organizations as part of its first round of grants this year.
Paul Allen had also been funding Stratolaunch.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of @PaulGAllen, our founder and noted technologist, philanthropist, community builder, conservationist, musician and supporter of the arts. All of us who worked with Paul feel an inexpressible loss today. https://t.co/OMLZ7ivvSD pic.twitter.com/Bfa8kK6Q8e

There are gazillion cancer treatments out there that work and that are not in the mainstream, but hey, lets research all kinds of crap and waste millions in b/s while sharing the karma of the EX Apple CEO, a real brother in stupidity. (If you wonder what I am talking about maybe just read bengstonresearch.com).
They just SAID he died from cancer. He was really killed by a demon because he was going to reveal the true shape of the Earth (level 3 Klein bottle).
This confuses me. With so many feeble minded conspiracy theorists saying they already have a cure for cancer, how could such rich and famous man die from cancer? Wouldn’t they just never say he had cancer and cure him? One thing about the people that say the world is flat or the people that say demons are telling them what to do or say they already have a cure for cancer is they always find some way of contradicting logic.

Maybe he just could not afford them. 🙂 Or perhaps he was just not as educated as you and did not know where to look and none of his zillion advisors (which would be out of a job when he died) were not motivated to looking either. I will check out bengstonresearch.com as soon as I am done researching cancer cures in the enquirer magazine.

Microsoft, the company that stole MS DOS, the worst OS for the 8086 family, thanx to IBM made a fortune from it and then gave us Windows when much better OSes where available, tried to undermine any competition by tweaking the code so e.g. applications from others would crash etc. etc. – a true company from HELL. May he rot there soon to be accompanied by his compatriot Gates.
Did he also try to cure it with vitamin C therapy?

Miserere ejus, Domine, et lux aeterna luceat super eum. Requiescat in pacem.
He survived what killed him for 35 years after it was first diagnosed. Even so, as long as billionaires are still dying, we know they don’t have hidden life extension technologies yet, not at any price. (Not that I really thought they did, but it’s going to be a game changer when they do.) Also, people that don’t understand the differences between Paul Allen and Bill Gates, back when they were both at Microsoft, don’t know enough about Paul Allen. He also made the giving pledge which means his fortune will be broken up and not be a burden on the world’s economic future. I sincerely hope he left enough to continue the work on his charities and other good works indefinitely, most especially the Stratolaunch initiative. While it remains to be seen how it will compare, compete, or complement things like Musk’s SpaceX, and Bezo’s Blue Origin. I believe that funding space programs, whatever the incentive, is potentially one of the highest yielding endeavors possible for the entire human race. My own goal, when I was in high school, was to make tens of billions of dollars, specifically so I could fund my own space program. I veered off course a bit, but I am heartened that others, especially multiple others, are still making it happen.

While we may not have agreed with his politics or decisions about things like grants to groups, we should agree that he worked hard, risked his own money (yes, and others’), and contributed to society so life is better. We need lots more of entrepreneurs and risks takers. Very sad to see him go. Yes, Tiago – may he rest in peace.
