The UC (University of California) system picks students based predominantly on grades and class rank.
Caltech is a top school that does not discriminate based on race and Asian Americans are over 40% of the students admitted to Caltech. UC Berkeley does not discriminate based on race and it has Asian American enrollment at 42.3 percent. At UCSD (UC San Diego), 50% of undergrads are Asian. At UCLA, 40% of undergrads are Asian.

That’s a good point. Government likes to look at specific metrics and cry discrimination, but meeting metrics does not guarantee a successful candidate. Universities should be free to set their own admissions policies according to how *they* define success – and then reap whatever they sow. If a group believes they have a more successful way of going about it, they’re free to establish their own university.

If one day you ever find yourself needing to undergo a risky operation for a life-threatening medical condition, I do hope you’ll choose a medical surgeon based on their race/ethnicity, rather than on their actual track record of medical success. So if you are not admitted you can just go to a 2-year college and get guaranteed admission when you finish if you maintain a certain GPA and complete within some time frame. University is becoming ridiculously expensive. Only kids with deep pocketed generous parents and grandparents dare get any degree that is not an instant fat paycheck. My sister has 2 UCSD degrees but still has not paid back her loans. She worked while going, but still had to borrow $2,000. That has multiplied several times. She got degrees but they were not worth much. Apparently, no one hires female movie directors. So those degree programs that do lead to paychecks are extremely hard to get into. And other students are often cut throat. Business degrees especially. Students routinely lie about when the tests are and what is due. They try to get someone working all day and night on a big paper that really is not due for weeks and don’t tell them that there is actually a test next meeting and such.

So the best student from the most violent high school in America should be in the same college as the best student from the high school with the highest SAT scores and where every student takes 8 AP classes?

The easiest way to become a doctor in the US is to go to a foreign country like China and do your residency there also then take a equivalency exam to practice in the US. Some candidates can straight up lie about degrees and qualifications and merely pass the equivalency exam. The US medical schools are brutally competitive as well as residencies.

No big budget director has jumped directly to big budget movies. Everybody started from the bottom at one point making micro budget movies. Directors that do movies on a micro budget basically get paid less than 40k a year.

So if you are not admitted you can just go to a 2-year college and get guaranteed admission when you finish if you maintain a certain GPA and complete within some time frame. University is becoming ridiculously expensive. Only kids with deep pocketed generous parents and grandparents dare get any degree that is not an instant fat paycheck. My sister has 2 UCSD degrees but still has not paid back her loans. She worked while going, but still had to borrow $2,000. That has multiplied several times. She got degrees but they were not worth much. Apparently, no one hires female movie directors. So those degree programs that do lead to paychecks are extremely hard to get into. And other students are often cut throat. Business degrees especially. Students routinely lie about when the tests are and what is due. They try to get someone working all day and night on a big paper that really is not due for weeks and don’t tell them that there is actually a test next meeting and such.

Why discriminate against them? Not enough sponsors, you can not hit white males hard as they are most of your sponsors. But you have to do something to look PC and the tiger mom is a stereotype for an reason so they are over-represented but has little power. That’s a good point. Government likes to look at specific metrics and cry discrimination, but meeting metrics does not guarantee a successful candidate. Universities should be free to set their own admissions policies according to how *they* define success – and then reap whatever they sow. If a group believes they have a more successful way of going about it, they’re free to establish their own university.

This, of course, would utterly gut the endowment funds of the Ivy League.
