Elon Musk indicates that the rocket engines currently on Starship hopper are a blend of Raptor development and operational parts. The first hopper engine to be fired is almost finished assembly in California. This will probably be fired next month.
The Starhopper will need to swap out the three engines that are currently mounted. This swapping out of engines will need to be performed before the first test flight.
Elon Musk is talking about February for the first test hop flight.
