Space startup Orbex has revealed the world’s largest 3D printed rocket engine.
The Orbex prototype of the Stage 2 rocket is made from a specially-formulated lightweight carbon fiber and aluminium composite. It includes the world’s largest 3-D printed rocket engine. Orbex Prime
launchers are up to 30% lighter and 20% more efficient than any other vehicle in the small launcher category.
In mid-2018, Orbex raised £30 million ($39.6 million) in public and private funding.
