Numbers 4 and 5 struck my fancy.
4: Tiny sub-brown dwarf suddenly launches a HUGE flare. This is the sort of thing that I would expect to see if you did have a Kardeshev 2 level civilization that didn’t have faster than light travel.
Grab a tiny star (only 15 x Jupiter) and manipulate it to be a giant cannon. A vast superflare lets you launch solar sail craft at spectacular speeds. The total energy you could get from such an event is spectacular. And if you can trigger such a thing you get all that energy directed in one direction (9.5 minutes in duration) and then it drops back to being a tiny dull thing that conserves its fuel for trillions of years.
Assuming it wasn’t just aimed at an enemy planet. Perhaps because a captured space princess wouldn’t name the Rebel base.
5.. Another meteor from outside the solar system. This one hit the Earth just north of New Guinea. But it was pretty small. However it is totally how I would start a Movie.
