In the near future it will extend to all cells. Research on Genetic engineering is speeding up rapidly. They have begun doing genetic engineering on pet dogs for certain diseases(heart). It takes 1 year for the FDA to authorize/approve a therapy/drug for dogs. If they find a cure for dogs, for (let’s say) all cancer or diabetes etc that is 100% effective. A disease that kills a VERY great number of people a year, the FDA will be forced to FASTTRACK that treatment/drug for humans(with modifications for humans).

It says this was in vitro, using isolated cells, so I don’t think the headline should say “inside the body”. It looks like they were generating cells for immunotherapy. They do have other, in vivo stuff, but not this one.
