SpaceX Super Heavy Starship Presentation in July 2019

Elon Musk will likely have a Super Heavy Starship presentation in July, 2019. It will be after the first successful untethered hop tests for the Starhopper.

NASA Green Fuel Used on Satellite Launching on Falcon Heavy

On June 24 on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket will fly NASA’s Green Propellant Infusion Mission (GPIM). GPIM will test out a low-toxicity propellant in space for the first time. The clean propellant, a hydroxyl ammonium nitrate fuel/oxidizer mix called AF-M315E, will be used instead of the highly toxic hydrazine fuel.

  1. I’m not dissatisfied that I’m in a timeline where the odds of option 2 are not completely zero.

  2. “Attention to Space has waned in general since the US stopped launching people.”

In the meantime attention to SpaceX among people who should pay attention has risen quite a bit.

  3. what is there to report? general media have been very favorable to the fraudster Musk so far. They are catching up to his lies slowly. Only hardcore acolytes and elon church militants remain vigilant in promoting this non sense such as the Big Fake Rocket

  4. Frankly most americans will likely not care until one of the following happens;

    • New private station that exceeds the size of ISS built, filled with instagram influencers trying to record the first space sex act for pornhub
    • Musk personally teabags russian and chinese lunar rovers on the moon
    • Something blows up

The US being the nation of NASCAR, I assume only the last one is probably relevant…

  5. There’s the simple fact that most people don’t follow this stuff as closely as we do, aren’t as interested as we are.

I quickly learned this as a kid in the Mercury days, and nothing has happened since to change that observation…

  6. They will talk until it launches. Even for a short hover.

In the meantime, it’s just a fancy water tower for them.

  7. When they have video, they’ll use it. Elon Musk has 27 million twitter followers and gets his share of media attention. SpaceX will also get a big boost in attention when Dragon starts launching people. Attention to Space has waned in general since the US stopped launching people.

  8. General media are just behaving themselves as usual. Since 2010 SpaceX has shattered barriers to space and they’ve up’d a level of magnitute yet again by building a stainless steel reusable rocket in a back yard making a mockery of every other launch system in the world. Not to mention making them all obsolete. One of the most significant events in human history is happening but you wouldn’t know by watching the news.

  9. Wonder what broke on the Raptor engine #5 to require repair. Part of the reason they were doing fit checks earlier with Raptor #4 was that they were not intending on repairing it after damaging it during testing.

  10. General media coverage of Starhopper seems to be nonexistent. Is it SpaceX’s fault? Or are they all nincompoops?
