Storming Area 51 Practice Runs and Related Videos

There is a social media event where 1.3 million people have signed up to storm Area 51 where alien technology is rumored to be kept.

They have the motto “They cannot stop us all”. However, this fallacy was disproved back in World War 1. Machine guns nests can stop them all. The modern minigun and motorized-Gatling guns can stop them all.

The TV show Mythbusters has shown a modern minigun cutting down trees.

Of course, this is all in fun. People goofing off with mass Naruto runs.

  1. Directed beam weapons or sonic weapons will take care of this rabble. Maybe they should try to invade North Korea instead. Do something productive. Probably save us billions in entitlements.

  2. I think the sight of 1 or 2 nerds with sucking chest wounds or traumatic head wounds would do the trick. No need to go much past that before an about face would take place.

  3. Actually, the saucers are at MSFC. All the folks think the money is for SLS–but that is a front

  4. It’s not going to happen. First, Uber won’t drive out to the desert. Second, their Mom’s won’t either. Third, no internet connection out there, how can they stream? If they can’t stream it, why do it. Finally, the desert is not their Mom’s basement, it’s real and will kill you.

  5. It would be funny if they rushed the base and found no one home and nothing but empty hangers and tumble weeds.

  6. I used to have a web server that China Lake liked to hit quite a bit. Was really amusing that their proxy server was named Mulder.

Always wondered where the server named Scully was.

  7. You appear to be a poster child for the American brain-washed.

America’s leaders are the ones that are responsible for prosecuting those “leaders you accuse of stealing, without a trial are innocent till PROVEN guilty”. That may be the reason LBJ, the Bushes, the Clintons, Obama, Cheney, and other mass murderers of their ilk have never been charged with crimes.

Check this out (and tell me how they used their Hasselblad cameras):

  8. I go back and forth on tech stagnation.

My current position is that what happened is that the tech keeps improving at high rates, but all that tech is used to do things that the average user can’t see.
Pollution levels from cars, planes, paints, pens, and the manufacturing of everything has been going down by vast amounts. Literally orders of magnitude. But looking at an individual item (car, plane, refrigerator, tin of house paint, soldered circuit board etc. etc.) you can’t see any of that. Looking at the sky over a major city you certainly can. But people don’t have a 1970 Los Angeles lying around to compare their current city with, and hence the improvement isn’t visible.

Likewise a lot of longevity stuff. Modern paint lasts so much longer than 1970 paint. While being non-toxic, and brushes wash out in water not turpentine, and you don’t need 4 coats, and it primes itself not a separate primer, and what’s an undercoat? (I did some painting recently, I’m going to keep referring to it.) But once you’ve done all that work, gone through all that trouble, with the 1970 paint, then the item looks much like a 2019 painted item, so you can’t spot the improvement when you compare the two. Unless you remember doing the same job in the 1970s.

If the same effort was chasing cost, speed, or something then you really could compare the old with the new and see how great it was. 1870-1970 was devoted to providing consumer benefit. 1971 onwards was diverted to collective needs.

  9. ok, give me some facts to back your unfounded claims and I will give you some.
The people of the United States (whose leaders you accuse of stealing, without a trial are innocent till PROVEN guilty) live better than 93% of the rest of the world. You either do not know the facts or are a mentally unbalanced conspiracy theorist that needs help. Wake up and realize how well you live or go to one or two of the third word countries to see what REAL corruption brings. Even the street people here have shoes and decent clothes on their backs, over there they are usually barefoot along with most their population.

  10. Yeah, I think I’ll get a carton of rotten eggs and go out there and help the military… Hope these little brats get scattered into the desert and…

  11. There you go again. Someone SAYING somethign could be one way or the other is not the same as SUGGESTING it. Learn the difference.

  12. No, the article is saying you COULD stop them with gattling guns. That’s not the same as SUGGESTING

  13. So you think 10 thousand dead would not create a national or worldwide commotion and topple a government?

And 10 thousand is easy to create. By simply shooting people, when you have 1 million morons running, the ones in the front not yet dead will try to return and trample and be trampled by the masses coming from behind.

  14. Nobody said it, except the article suggesting using gatling guns to stop 1 million people, as well as some comments here.

I agree there are several other methods to avoid massacring everyone. Including moving everything out. Or blocking PHYSICALLY some areas of the base. Etc.

You can also just narrow down entrances to the base. Leave the 1 million people on the surface. When people try to enter, you taser them, until they block the entrances.

  15. “our government and the people we pay good money to feel somthing [sic] should be kept secret for the good of our country”

I suggest a more accurate statement would be “our government and the people that steal good money from us that must be kept secret from the victims so they aren’t prosecuted for their theft and banished for the good of our country . . .”

Do you suppose cancer could have been cured with the trillions that were spent in the Iraq/Afghanistan wars?

  16. I’m thinking the terrain’s gonna weed out a lot – they’ve got 15+ miles to go across some pretty nasty landscape. Then there’s the wildlife. “Hey, look, someone left some rope here with a rattle at the end of it!”

If there’s as many as a couple hundred left when the sun rises (since they’re doing this at night) they’ll likely surrender just so they don’t have to walk back in the daylight…

  17. I’ve seen this is supposed to go off between 3 and 6 AM.

Oh, the snakes and scorpions are gonna love it!

It’s not like they’re going to be able to pull up on a road 100 yards from the fence around Area 51, do their run and storm the fence, then go off to McDs afterward with a good tale.

Running/driving ATVs across the desert in the dark. Likely 15-20 miles across terrain that’s not user-friendly. They aren’t going to be able to get at it from the west either – it backs up to the Nevada Test Site, and you gotta watch out for the giant mutant gophers they’ve got there. (What, you thought all those big holes in the desert came from nuclear weapons? Lol…)

I’m thinking the casualty rate’s going to be about 1 case of dehydration in 10, 2 sprained ankles per hundred, three to five snakebites per thousand, and a 100% chance of incarceration if you get within 10 miles of the facility.

  18. This is so silly, the Aliens are guests of the US Government not captives.
They will probably be out there shooting these people with their ray guns alongside the troops. 🙂

  19. If the US had any alien technology Trump would have already trumpeted it around.”We have got the best alien tech. I can tell you it is so good. It is bigly.”
Best proof that there is nothing there worth talking about.

  20. Heck, the SR-71 Blackbird first flew in 1964, and broke Mach 3 in the 70’s. And you don’t have to speculate about that technology existing. Notice all the supersonic planes around?

I’d say the great stagnation was due to a change in regulatory mindset about risk taking, driven by elites getting comfortable enough with their own lives that they valued retaining their relative position more than advancing the total wealth of society; Technological advance upsets established hierarchies.

Notice that most of the advance came in IT, which was very lightly regulated.

  21. Actually, even if they were retarded enough to turn a machine gun nest (or twenty) against a million civilians, they’d need at the minimum to have a million bullets there and set up in belts, ready to be used.

In any case, this kind of morbid and idle speculation isn’t worthy of this site. You have much better things to report on, Brian, really.

  22. They will just fire few warning shoots into the air and those people will run faster than usain bolt back to their holes

  23. No way you would get to 1 million dead. People just aren’t that dumb to keep charging into a meat grinder for a internet meme.

  24. Honestly I’d like to see a couple hundred of the idiots actually try and then (likely) become incapacitated by heat exhaustion. That would be hilarious.

  25. exactly, tear gas, pepper balls, rubber bullets, bean bags, plus more high tech things like microwave weapons (Active Denial Systems).

  26. Here’s what the Government should do: Spend the three months between now and then emptying area 51, put up wax models of well-known aliens from tv shows (Daleks, Alf, etc.) Then once the people are inside, announce over the speakers “now you know the truth, we have to kill you” then release plain ordinary steam out if the air vents and laugh at them all shitting themselves.

  27. I think you did hit upon who probably caused all this kaffufle: some smart PR guy working for a local hotel.

  28. Yeah, I have a feeling that this could net a TON of legal paperwork and folks who won’t ever be allowed on airplanes, again. So ridiculous. It’s literally insane that people would run with this (oun intended). I don’t necessarily think the people behind the joke should be arrested. People pull social media stunts all the time (granted, this one is very serious). I say pull the plug on it before it gets worse. Or… OR… and hear me out, because this might not be so crazy…

….cats. On roombas. Thousands of them. A bunch of cats on roombas moving toward your base blaring Flight of the Valkyries? I don’t care how desensitized and coldhearted someone might be, nobody wants to mow down a field of adorable cats. And especially not with the YouTube revenue it could bring the military by just posting heartwarming clips of “Cat Army Ambush At Area 51”.

  29. All the government has to do when the storming begins is to turn over the tin foil. Simple as that.

  30. I kept telling my friends that, but they were too busy practicing their Naruto running. Dense, foolhardy dunces. They cant even get the right torso angle for the run. >_<

  31. They could use the sound cannon to disperse people. Though, I imagine it would go something like, “Wait, why are people MELTING? Oh my GOD. You idiot, that’s the MICROWAVE gun we fashioned after that old PC game Crusader No Regret!”

Troll comment aside, it’s quite serious to imagine people booking hotels and showing up to watch people do something stupid. The military here is NOT chomping at the bit to mow down civilians. Plain and simple, they just aren’t. But they would if there was something important enough to protect.

Is there? Probably not at Area 51. More likely at the S4 area (if it exists).

I believe this boils down to two things:
    A) People like having a laugh.
    B) There is a large part of the public that would like to know if the U.S. government is sitting on game-changing technology that, while it would turn industry on its head, could help reverse and prevent further damage we could cause our planet, and could possibly take us to the stars. … Star Trek. They wanna know if the army is sitting on Star Trek.

But seriously, don’t rush the super secret not secret anymore military test range.

  32. If there ever was anything interesting at Area 51 it isn’t there any more, hasn’t been for decades.

I am bit intrigued by the idea that the US government has had highly advanced ET tech for decades at the same time technology progress was noticeably stagnating (read The Great Stagnation). Tech progress has been slowing down since the 1960s. Opposite you would expect if anything interesting was happening at Roswell.

  33. Well you have a openly racist misogynistic homophobic president rabidly supported by one of your parties trying to make everyone except rich white men non-citizens – middle class white men seem to get worker status poor are just light skin slaves crims or cannon fodder – so I don’t see why they would not just shoot ‘trespassers’ and say they were immigrants or socialist or democrats – not like anyone is going to be held accountable

  34. Adjusting my tinfoil hat for maximum tightness:

Problem: There are crazy young people around these days, but unlike previous generations it isn’t feasible just to put them in the army and send them off to be either killed or have enough real-world experience to return to sanity.

    So what to do?

For the REAL nutcases the answer was straightforward. Allow the ISIS madhouse to recruit from western nations, the sort of people who both want to be violent killers AND have the motivation to follow through go off to join ISIS, and are either killed or have enough real-world experience to return to sanity.

    For the next level down?

Stunts like this. Only the real troublemakers will be both motivated and have enough organizational skills to turn up in the desert and try to charge the fence. It won’t be millions, maybe a few thousand. They get arrested, get a record, maybe a non-custodial sentence that does however mean they are now a convicted felon with what that means for voting and standing for office. And they are now on watch lists.

  35. They will be stopped, not with machine guns of course, but this is not the point. The point is that something is or at least was going on near area 51. Bob Lazar a very believable man is telling his story on it for more than 25 years. consistently, not adding more details on it that weren’t there first. There is a strong testimony that Ben Rich, former head of Lockheed Martin skunk work has also spoke about it in few occasions. I do believe in the power of testimony, it should be carefully analyzed and incorporated into any kind of research more often than it is done now. I would also like to ask where is all the hundreds of Billions of dollars are going to? Not to sweep that streets of our big cities for sure. And a final point, knowing that chemical rocketry will not take us beyond few point in our solar system, it will be madness to believe that we haven’t tried something else. All fingers are pointing to one options, the one used by the other human races, not moving in space, but bending space-time with the use of a generated gravitational field. The attack on area 51 will not uncover anything, but it may create a shock wave that can bring out a disclosure.

  36. Inciting a riot is a crime. Though, this looks more tongue-in-cheek than anything. Maybe they will have a little party at the fence. I wouldn’t be surprised if some people stationed there bought some costumes to have a bit of fun.

  37. Everyone knows that DoD is a paper tiger.
They will run rampant until the movement runs out of steam, then the ones who were arrested will immediately be released and lawyer up with help from their professors.
After the dust settles, the smart thing to do would be start shutting down all California military installations and move them to more remote places. Make the politicians squeal.

  38. Machine guns are a fallback option. We should arrest the ringleader authors of this dangerous idiocy and charge them with conspiracy to wage war against the United States.

  39. It doesn´t matter if it’s their fault. You massacre 1 million people unarmed people, your government fall. I am not talking about re-electing. I am talking about coups, mass protests like none ever seen in the US, etc, etc.

No government would be dumb enough if they believe there was such risk.

  40. This conspiracy stuff always confuses me. If our government and the people we pay good money to feel somthing should be kept secret for the good of our country, aren’t you being a traitor to try and expose those confidential and top secret reports and evidence? Sure it might make you famous at the expense of our country’s security.
Personally, I think we should literally try those people and if found guilty execute them.
