Kiwa Bio-Tech, an agricultural company that develops, manufactures and markets bio-fertilizers for use in the China agriculture and aquaculture markets, claims to have a new fertilizer processing technology. They developed it with the Institute of Bio-Agriculture of Shaanxi Academy of Sciences and the University of Harbin.
They have increased the solubility of fertilizers by nearly 30%.
This will enable fertilizers to be used with drip irrigation equipment in arid and semi-arid agricultural planting areas.
Almost 13 000 farms in Shaanxi Province of China use drip irrigation for fruit planting. These 6.6 million acres of farms could use the new fertilizer.
