Chinese Armored Vehicles and Tanks Moving to Hong Kong

China is moving armored vehicles and tanks to Shenzhen which is across the border from Hong Kong.

Protestors have demonstrated at the Hong Kong airport for two days in a row. The Hong Kong airport flights have been canceled for two days.

  1. no arms is required to force HK people kneeing down. just stop water supply from canton. chinese people in mainland just watched and smiled at the demonstrations in HK on TV. But few days ago, black-clothed young men thrown the national flag to sea, some chinese KF fighters will enter HK, ……

  2. I feel bad for these Hong Kong protesters, but honestly what were they thinking? The CPC is ruthless; they will put every protester on a list with severe consequences. The HK government will not yield to protester demands. They are more afraid of the CPC than they are of these skinny kids.

I don’t expect a Tienanmen Square type incident. I think the CPC understands that time is on their side now, and sympathy for HK is very limited in mainland China.

  3. I do think the Gil Hamilton stories are some of the most realistic future dystopic fiction around.
The concepts about what “bad things” can happen in the future are

    • Perfectly feasible, even likely, given the current course of tech development.
    • Totally believable as to whether society could go that way. Sometimes to the point where you’d need to come up with a good reason why it would not.
    • Seriously worrying.
  4. Actually Biometric data is very useful if you have skeletal remains. Ever heard the term MNI or minimum number of individuals. There are a number of ways to get highly accurate results. All initially use the frequency of skeletal elements and the side they are from to get initial estimates then incorporate bone size and weight metrics for more fragmented remains that have limited identifiable features. All osteometric data. You can use Bayesian statistics to get a overall max and min for how many individuals there are of a species with a few inputs for element, side and mass estimates, including humans. Zooarchaeology pioneered this stuff.

  5. Brett Bellmore….I had a personal talk with a guy about to give a presentation to the SecDef. Chinese infiltration is even scarrier that you think….he thinks its too late and also the only solution he foisted was to cut off all trade with China. Scary scary stuff.

  6. I know. I’m in the business, so to speak.

I was just alluding to the fact that a lot of people arrested in China become unwilling organ donors. Any “waste” left over after that is probably incinerated very thoroughly, making biometric data effectively useless. The only physical evidence left will be the DNA in those that received an involuntary organ donation.

It makes me sick. My parents loved Hong Kong back in the 70’s, but it would make me sick regardless. (They also loved Syria, and how friendly and kind the people were, even to Americans, despite the fact their government was bad business and they knew it.)

I used to read Larry Niven’s detective stories about Gil Hamilton of the ARM, an enforcement branch of a worldwide police organization, hunting organleggers (as he termed people that stole organs for transplant).

Gil’s other missions were finding parents without a license for a birth, and suppressing technology that was considered too dangerous to be publicly available. Never thought any of those would really ever be a thing, at least not in the next century.

Now we have an entire country of organleggers (and not a small one) going at it on an industrial scale (and anything else they care to rationalize).

  7. Biometric data typically refers to things like finger prints, dental records, photos, and other physical identity info (height, weight, place of birth, hair color, eye color, skeletal measurements, etc.). Whatever they can get that is not DNA. It’s a forensic term.

  8. even worse, they literately walk through the front doors of US companies, chinese secret agents have inside people cut them badges and they just walk around in the inside of companies working as managers of fake departments that do nothing but spy on the rest of the company and run operations again other departments… it’s like a plague these days.. I’ve seen that type of stuff going on at companies like micron…intel…etc… even US defense research and NSA companies not immuned to this type of break in… it worms itself in and in impossible to get out because they infect the management… they say ohh where is it… it only takes a few of them to corrupt an entire organization… then you have weird stuff going on where people have agree to do corrupt things for them because they have handcuffs on .. they lose their jobs if they complain and also you can’t complsin… nobody has any will to admit it’s true.. if you infect the badging office… the personal office… the IT department… the entire company falls pray eventual.. people are forced to put up with it and pretend it isn’t true… it’s crazy… iT can literally spy on every computer in the company with getting caught… and theses are the types of jobs they have no respect when it comes to hiring Americans without secret allegences to foreign governments or cultures…

  9. The US should arm Mongolians. They love to kill Chinese people. Give them a few nukes and some serious cash, Israel style. Then let them tear down that wall, again. If only Japan had waited a bit longer to piss off the US in with Pearl Harbor, they could have finished China off. All glory to Chairman Meow.

  10. That’s rich. Maybe China should leave Taiwan alone, maybe China should un-dam the Mekong, maybe China should stay out of Kashmir and Tibet (places they have never been welcome and claim based off practically Genghis Khan era maps, BTW Mongolians hate the Chinese more than anyone). Or then there are the Chinese claims over the S. China Sea. The second China stops bullying its neighbors and ignoring international law, the second the US will stop getting involved. China would be a Japanese slave colony if not for the US. As much as Trump can be a POS to other nations, Tojo was a real piece of work. WW2, remember, the USA got to draw the map in the end, because we were the only nation not composed of ignorant peasant dirt farmers who were indentured servants prior. China has yet to win anything or do anything to help any nation in a war not named N. Korea. Guess what N. Korea is the one nation China has significant influence over. Coincidence? Go divide up N. Korea, it yours China. Every other nation surrounding China has a very good reason to hate them. I literally had a Mongolian once tell me that the Chinese eat dead human fetuses, not that I believed him, but it shows you the seething hate.

  11. OK. China will be left alone and they can keep the South China sea. In return, the US, Japan, S. Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Australia, Fiji, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Canada will set up a joint economic exclusion zone. The only rule: no Chinese fishing allowed anywhere in the Pacific or Indian Ocean. Any Chinese fishing boat caught will be seized then sunk and its crew dropped off in a life raft near one of those man made islands China built. China can go find them. Lets see how they would do if we cut them off from fisheries, they barely have enough food to feed their own people as it is without imports.

  12. I say USA and Canada should join forces and set up a North American Economic Exclusion Zone that encompasses the entire NE Pacific from San Diego west to Hawaii and north to Diomede Island, much like the China Sea claims. Then grant every Pacific nation an exemption but China. If a Chinese fishing vessel enters those waters, seize or sink it. Maybe try and convince Australia and New Zealand to do similar things in the Antarctic Ocean and Indian Ocean. Cut China off from every fishery possible by using their interpretation of Maritime Laws. We will stop when they tear down their man made islands, tear down the Mekong dams, recognize Taiwan and grant HK independence. Go after their food. China grows almost no surplus food, cut their ability to fish and they will have problems.

  13. The region of china known as Hong Kong is just that, anything beyond that is just a binky for those with an aversion to facing reality.

  14. They don’t want to be dragged out of their homes at night and taken to disappear in China. They have also watched all the supposed promises they had made to them to be left alone as part of the two-system state fall apart like sand over time.

From what I and it seems the people of HK (or at least a large percentage of them) are tired of it and realize that if they wait to much longer they will never be free again.

  15. I dont think the Chinese government need any advise from the British on how to shoot those protesting their rule.

  16. Let China storm Honk Kong. The countries that China is trying to patronize should have a chance to take a hard look on what China really is.

  17. I think it’s a combination of not seeing any point in having a spine, (They’re now powerless to stop it.) and that China has been buying people in power in the West for a generation now, and their penetration in places of power is scary.

You probably heard of our Office of Personel Management data “breach”, where Chinese intelligence got away with the complete database of files on government employees, and probably had write capability on it for a year or more before getting caught?

It happened because we hired Chinese programers working out of China to do the database management, and handed them all the relevant passwords. People in the OPM were screaming their heads off about how insanely stupid it was to do that, but they got over ruled by somebody higher up.

That wasn’t a hacking job, it was treason.

  18. Biometric data?

DNA maybe. That way, in a few years, you can identify where people with state-provided organ transplants got them from.

This is China we are talking about.

For the Chinese rulers, Winnie-the-Pooh was an inconvenient truth and Tienanmen Square has been expunged from their history. There is really nothing their rulers can’t rationalize away as being merely regrettable.

The immediate response of a great many psychopaths for their acts can be summed up as: “Look what you made me do!”

  19. If foreign governments cared they would take biometric data of protesters already to find all those people afterward. Number of casualties in 1989 Tianamen Sq protests is still uncertain. The NSA said there were several hundreds, not thousands.

I hope though this time they will learn from Erdogan, who used water cannons and tear gas in 2013:

  20. It’s painful to live in fear. That’s what it means to be a slave.

FYI, slaves aren’t nearly as productive as free people, ChiCom shill. How much do they pay you to sell out your brothers and sisters?

  21. The headline should be: “China Ramps Up Military for Biggest PR Disaster Since Tienanmen Square Massacre”

  22. I haven’t been following… but can’t really picture average hk’er with their Starbucks lattes and gicci bags plotting a revolution…

  23. Absolutely right. It’s a shame modern Britain is so spineless, where’s Boris the Russian to condemn the attack on the former colony?

  24. Chicom’s worst nightmare…dividing China into 4-5 equal parts… instead of one giant piece and a few tiny pieces pretending to be autonomous…Shenzhen+Guangzhou is really lost territory of Hong Kong… Cantonese Chinese… tibet… xinjiang… Manchuria… etc… (if you want to see an amazing temper tantrum… get a western news person to ask that question to a chicom mainlander…)

  25. Yes, this was inevitable once Thatcher betrayed them by taking away their passports. They’ve only been lucky that it took so long.

  26. They closed the airport specifically to keep people from escaping; The protest there wasn’t violent, the police attack on it was.

  27. You should be ashamed. I live in a post-communist country and I am very happy we had a so called velvet revolution. China is a dystopia. I hope rest of China will follow Hong Kong. China deserves a freedom. HK protesters are brave and I hope one day they will be free.

  28. Looks like somewhere’s about to have a mass exodus! I hope Japan & Korea like taking in political asylum seekers!

  29. Yup, totally did all of that didn’t I. And who the hell is the dem sect? Is that some political party in China? Oh wait, you don’t have parties.

  30. Ah, the dem sect pulled up. Anyone not sharing your sect’s teachings is evil, and to be dehumanised and slandered. Congrats! Perhaps Chinese gov should pay your extremist kind for making just about anyone look good! Well, except ISIS, but there’s room for growth for ya.

  31. Thanks, China’s shill. Fresh take. All the business will move out of HK as it is from the UK. Singapore’s gonna have a boom.

  32. If you don’t think the chinese will imprison 10s of thousands of Hong Kongese, then you are truly stupid. Like Tianamen Square massacre, the 10s of thousands of Hong Kongese will be imprisoned for life, maybe after another thousands of students being murdered. Brain drain coming up!
