Drone Video from Jason Yang on YouTube shows that Tesla has been grading more land next to the factory and digging new foundations for a new building. This suggests that the Shanghai Gigafactory is being expanded for increased production.

Exactly! We’ve only one car factory in California & one Gigafactory (for batteries & drive units) in Nevada. Giga Shanghai will do cars, batteries & drive units for the greater China area. Over time, regional Gigafactories will lower costs & improve logistics worldwide.
