Elon tweeted that the Tesla cybertruck will be unveiled on November 21, 2019.
Elon has previously said that he thinks this is the best product that Tesla has ever made.
It will have the functionality of a Ford F-150 but will be faster than a Porsche 911. The Ford F-150 sold over 900,000 truck last year.
The Dodge Ram trucks sold about 547,000 trucks last year.
The Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra line sold about 800,000 trucks last year.
The Tesla Cybertruck will have 240-volt outlets for electrical work tools. The power outlets could also allow the Tesla truck to power a house. This would be useful in California when there are power outages.
The base price will start at under $49,000. Elon Musk stated the base price in a podcast interview.
This will look different than any other truck on the market.

An Electric pickup truck should have greater traction than a diesel pickup.
The origin of the image is actually Tesla. It was put up by Musk after the Semi reveal… as a joke. And, of course, now everyone is using that picture as if the real pickup will look like this.
I was thinking The Muskle. “Forget weak trucks, you need a little Muskle!” 😉
What statements did he make about them being ugly?
One wish: please have an adequate payload capacity. Towing capacity means nothing if you can’t actually hitch it to the truck.
Agree.. But Elon Musk is fueling the rumors of an ugly truck with his statements…
I have no doubt that the functionality will be top notch, but I am not that certain that it will be a nice looking car. Which would be a pity…
Also, it would be great if they could derive an SUV from the truck so that we’re could get a rivian style SUV at tesla quality and price..
Ah. A wild guess then and not to be taken notice of.
I have no idea what the truck will look like and neither did the artist that made that artwork.
IT really has been a well kept secret
And it looks like it is too tall to fit into a normal garage or a multi-level car park.
So not on the list of useable vehicles for me then.
The picture is off. Tesla has stated that the truck will carry 6 people. So I think that a more appropriate representation would be 4 doors and a 6 foot bed. Given a shorter nose of the truck the overall length would be similar to a large auto making parking a reasonable proposition. Additionally with the tail gate down the truck can carry full 8 foot sheets of drywall, plywood etc. Ford trucks allow for many different configurations which I think that Tesla will have very few if any. Because of the people carrying capacity I would actually be interested in one. The TESLA crossover SUV looks to be too small especially for total people/luggage capacity.
Seriously, who originated that hideous illustration? We should know, just so that they’re never allowed to design even a car part, let alone an entire vehicle.
Elec-truck yeah !!!
