During the 2021 Annual Berkshire Hathaway share meeting, Warren Buffet says SPAC make it tougher for Berkshire to make new acquisitions. Berkshire has been competing with private equity funds for a long time.
SPAC funds have to buy companies within two years after raising their funds.
It is a different equation when you must invest other people’s money and must return funds if you do not acquire.
Berkshire is not competitive with that. He does not think it will last forever.
