Tesla FSD 12.5.X will add Actually Smart Summon in about a month. It could be in the 2-4 week timeframe to get 12.5.3 released and then widely released.

Jeff Lutz had NEVER driven 3 consecutive routes with zero interventions, EVER. Until FSD 12.5. He Never touched the wheel, accelerator, or brake in his first 3 routes.
This is a meaningfully different level of performance in my experience so far. More to do.

This moment marked a TURNING POINT for FSD. (12.5).
Scenario: Construction was blocking the right three lanes, and the car needed to make a right turn. It navigated the construction perfectly, assertively making the turn exactly where there was a gap.

Ok, 34 miles between interventions according to Tesla fsd tracker. Sure, the testers have only driven 144 miles, but what are the odds that the true number is, say, 2000 miles between interventions? So a small incremental improvement at best…
My concern about Banish and ASS – it’s level 4 driving. FSD has to not just be ‘perfect’ for public parking lot under normal conditions (which is already parking lot chaos), it has a higher bar to cross – it has to handle adversarial use cases. Once people start using this, nefarious people will intentionally drive or jump in front of a TESLA in pursuit of a personal injury payment. I would NEVER engage Banish or ASS UNLESS Tesla was taking liability. And to date, there has been no mention of when and under what conditions TESLA will take liability for a crash. I don’t think you can have a responsible conversation about rollout of these features without a discussion on Tesla taking liability for a crash. Overall, until we start to hear specifics about the transfer of crash liability to Tesla, I’m not confident we’re realistically close to rollout of any Level 4 features.
