A Lot of Spying from the Pager Explosion Operation

Israel booby trapped about 5000 pagers used by Hezbollah. The update on the Pager explosions is there are 12 dead, 2800-4000 injured and 400 serious or critically wounded in Lebanon. There were also 19 dead and 150 wounded in Syria. The Syria casualties were Iranian Republican Guard.

This operation maps out the Hezbollah network. If the pagers were rigged to explode then they were rigged for some spying over the last months of weeks of operation. It seems likely the devices would ping out location a couple times per day or more. Gathering locations where multiple pagers were together would be known.

Any messages sent were likely duplicated and all recorded. Israel was spying on cellphones before this. This was why Hezbollah switched to pager. Pager communications were tapped as well.

Hezbollah was launching missiles. Launch locations are known when missiles are launched. Those locations would be mapped against pager locations and pager numbers. If the same personnel were launching the missiles, then knowing those movements would identify weapon depots.

This gives us an idea of how much intelligence Israel has versus Hezbollah.

The next logical step would be a military offensive that uses the intelligence advantage and while a lot of Hezbollah injured.

Israel has also blown up ICOM radios today. Those are walkie-talkie type communication devices.

All locations and devices and people in the Hezbollah network compromised.

Israel likely has even more planted explosives and spying devices and other intelligence advantages placed during the months before this as Hezbollah operations were exposed.

  1. Now I assume Israel assumed hezbollah, knew about this so they used the assets now rather at the start of the full war. Also set off radios as I understand.
