Exosonic Making Supersonic Drones and Planes

Exosonic is startup developing supersonic UAVs to support the aerial target, collaborative combat aircraft, and adversary air training missions for both government and commercial customers.

Exosonic designed, manufactured, and brought the EX-3M to flight test in only nine months. They useed rapid iteration of the aircraft design, diversifying the supply chain, and maintaining the assembly process within Exosonic.

The Trident will serve as a quarter scale testbed to validate the autonomy software that will ultimately be incorporated into Exosonic’s full-scale supersonic UAV, the EX-3 “Revenant”.

In March, the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) has awarded Exosonic a $1.250 million contract to initiate the design and development of a supersonic fifth-generation target. This contract was awarded under the AFRL’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. Exosonic has raised $4.2M in private capital and $3M+ in AFWERX funding.
