I, Brian Wang, had a livestream video with Herbert Ong on Brighter With Herbert.
I talked about my discovery that Tesla Shanghai Megapack factory is over twice the size of the Lathrop Megapack factory in California. This is just for the main building and there will be three buildings.

Tesla stock drops 5% after Q3 deliveries fall short of estimates. The company is currently dealing with stiff competition in China from Chinese automakers like BYD and Xpeng. Recent price cuts have also squeezed profit margins as competition intensities.
There are at least 10 competitors to the Tesla Megapack:Fluence (Gridstack, Sunstack, Edgestack), LG Energy Solution’s ESS, BYD’s Cube, Samsung SDI’s utility ESS, CATL’s EnerOne, GE’s Reservoir, ABB’s PowerStore, Hitachi Energy’s PowerStore, Siemens Energy’s Siestorage, and Lockheed Martin’s GridStar.
Tesla has been short on innovation lately—or at least successful innovation. I’d be surprised if Megapack significantly improves Tesla’s fortunes.
