Tesla China has officially announced that the FSD update for HW3 and HW4 vehicles will be available via OTA.
Also, the paused FSD 1 month trial will be re-distributed. Everything is currently pending regulatory approval.
China appears close to giving full approval for Tesla FSD.
A Chinese driver owns both a Tesla vehicle with FSD and Huawei AITO M9 with ADS. He prefers FSD over ADS for his daily driving. FSD can be activated anywhere he wants. ADS can only be activated in pre-mapped areas (not high-definition maps) and it’s still rule-based solution on BEV+transformer architecture. FSD is fundamentally better.
