The fully reusable SpaceX Starship includes huge combinations of new technologies. The innovations combine into a massive increase in capability. We will be able to launch 1000 times as much payload to orbit.
A similar multi-year effort is being achieved with the Tesla Cybercab and its breakthrough manufacturing processes.
A Starship uses the Mechazilla launch tower and catching both the Starship and the booster stage. There are innovations with the Raptor engine which is more powerful and 400 times lower cost than the Space Shuttle engine that is still used for SLS rocket.
The Cybercab construction will be seven times faster (5 seconds per car) than the Tesla Shanghai factory. The Tesla Shanghai factory is nearly twice as fast as the next fastest non-Tesla car factory (35 seconds per car instead of 60 seconds.
The amazing advances of the Tesla Cybercab unboxed manufacturing process and its innovations are detailed in the video.
The manufacturing advances combine with the full self driving robotaxi itself.
The FSD driving technology has been a nine year effort.
FSD Project: Development likely began around 2016, with hardware introduced in vehicles starting April 2019.
4680 Battery Program: Internal work started around 2018, officially announced on September 22, 2020.
Unboxed Factory Process: Foundational efforts began around 2018, with key implementations like the structural battery pack starting in 2022.
Tesla, Elon and SpaceX go for huge advances that combine many challenging projects that enable huge leaps in capability.

I won’t believe any of this is real until independent insurance companies provide cost-competitive complete coverage for true FSD Teslas – meaning, no steering wheel or pedal use, ever.
CyberCab will be a money printer for Tesla, not as much as the bot of course, but still, very lucrative.
Goldfinch – It’s because FSD 13.2.8 is very good. I can’t comment personally, since I’ve never tried out that version. My car is a 2018, so I’m using 12.6.3.
Jim – 1st quarter numbers are always the worst of the year, plus this time have the new Model Y in the mix. So sales will be lower, but that’s expected. We have to wait a few more months (Q2 results) to see the real Elon backlash numbers. Democrats are buying Tesla’s less, but Republicans are buying it more…so time will tell if it was overall good or bad. Again, we won’t really know until July.
Republicans can’t afford to buy eggs. They are not going to start buying Teslas.
Eggageddon is over, they have fallen back to normal levels. I’m a Republican & drive a Tesla. A buddy of mine is Republican and is currently looking to get a Tesla. My mom is Republican, and she’s looking into getting a Tesla.
Tesla investors brace for global sales data amid consumer backlash over Elon Musk

Try to understand that this means zero .. why? .. because Tesla said in Q4 2924 LAST YEAR before Musk had this supposed brand damage moment, that q1 would be much lower because they where refreshing the Y their main model, thus production and delivery would be way down all the lines closed all needed ramping and you have the Osborn effect, pasting a Guardian article which ignores this is irrelevant.
1. We wont know in any direction till Q2 or even 3 results
2 Tesla is way way over valued as a car company it either makes breakthroughs in A.I (FSD) or Robotics (Optimus), or it crashes it could sell 10 million vehicles a year and it would still be overvalued
I don’t understand how a company who boasts of AI and manufacturing engineering misses on a large truck recall.
They came unglued.
“Didn’t touch the steering wheel once”.
Must have good airbags then.
