A Ukrainian unmanned surface vessel armed with an R-73 air-to-air missile shot down a Russian Su-30 naval fighter roughly 50 km west of Novorossiysk. This is the first time in history that a military aircraft has been downed by an unmanned Navy drone ship.

Who needs carriers anymore
In an effort to not level historical cities, Russia finds itself in a quagmire with one arm behind its back. At some point Russia is just going to level Kiev and any other historical city if these fools don’t give up. Ukrainian puppet government must want smoldering ruin.

Another day another outstanding Ukrainian innovation. By the time this is over Russia won’t be able to level a cow shed or any other farm structure.
There is a moment in a mind of any person in the CEE region where he or she is OK with holocaust rather than surrender. I can understand it so well, all these generations taking part in these war were brought up by the USSR for a WW2 remake. Does Moscow want some uranium and kobalt powder all around? Or do they want Poland etc. racing for a bomb at any price? Once they use it, the world will come back to the 1950s, only this time getting a bomb is much easier, and using strategic weapon for tactical purposes will become normal.
Not having nuclear weapons doesn’t mean that Ukraine cannot turn Moscow into a radioactive wasteland. Think Chernobyl x100.
So the country that was without a navy was sinking an inordinate amount of Russian ships even so.
And now that it has a navy, of sorts, it’s using it to take out Russian aircraft 🙂
It’s not the first time a military aircraft was shot down by a drone – they successfully engaged some helicopters with this same system already. It is the first time a fighter was successfully engaged by a drone
