Tesla Model YL Interior Space Comparison

The larger Tesla Model YL seating arrangement versus the old Model Y. Also the effect of the extra 7 inches length and extra width is made clear. The new 3rd row seems about as large as the old 2nd row.

For robotaxi versions the three rows of seating are all easily accessible.

the vast majority (about 92%) of rideshare and taxi rides require 2 or fewer passenger seats. For rides needing 5 or 6 seats, reliable distribution data is limited, as these are handled by larger vehicle categories like XL (vans or SUVs). Driver forums suggest XL rides make up roughly 5-10% of total trips. The XL rides also involve 4 or fewer passengers with extra luggage, space preferences, or by mistake. Rides needing 5 seats are 1-3% and 6 seat rides are less than 1%. However, there could be a preference by some riders for XL space vehicles.

  1. 10″ is not much longer, but 4 captain seats is the right way to go.
Tesla would be foolish to NOT bring this to America.

Of course, they still need to bring a drivable (i.e. steering wheel/pedals) cybercab, ideally with a small back seat and for $25K or less.
    The roadster.
    The Semi.
