Well I certainly hope MechaHitler won’t be the first superintelligence. Luckily, while Grok 4 is ahead in a lot of benchmarks at the moment, that’s at the cost of being slow and expensive to run, as reported here recently. That doesn’t really sound like a major breakthrough. Meanwhile, new models from other firms are due to be released soon.
One has to ask, when Musk’s AI is reflecting the personality of it’s creator, guess what? (For an excellent example of this nightmare check out the very good original Star Trek episode; “The Ultimate Computer”. 1967) Can a computer be uber-arrogant, and a bigot? Oh, yeah… When it’s a mirror of it’s creator…
