SpaceX booster 15 will be the last Block 2 Super Heavy booster to fly. It rolled out 10 days after Flight 10. It had a static fire and future tests shift to Pad 2 for Block 3 boosters. SpaceX plans to upgrade Pad 1’s flame trench to match Pad 2’s design. This will end use of the doughnut-shaped mount.
Starship 38 will be the upper stage for Flight 11. The Masseys test site is being upgraded for Block 3 vehicles.
SpaceX VP Bill Gerstenmaier detailed crunch wraps around heatshield tiles to prevent heat seepage and erosion.
The flight 11 mission remains suborbital. The first orbital attempt start with Block 3’s Flight 13. SpaceX eyes an October launch for Flight 11, but the first upgraded Super Heavy/Starship from Pad 2 slips to early 2026.
