Anthropoic released Claude Fable 5 – A Mythos Class Model. It is a step up in many ways. It seens to be stepping up innovative science improvement.
It still feels like very solid incremental improvements but not breaking away yet. But feeling like we are getting closer.
It is expensive to run it.

I think it is fair they will move to pay-per-use billing system. Why would one who uses it occasionally pay the same that someone who uses it extensively? That is not fair.
I’m not so sure they will do that for models that become consecutively older. For example, when Mythos 5 it’s replaced. I think to move entirely to pay per use might run the risk of alienating casual users who are already paying for lower tier plans and don’t want to have to think about either A) manually having to add credits or B) having a payment method auto-charged when theur cap is it. If they’re going to pay, those users want it monthly and hands-off. The other option would be to just warn them when they hit usage limits and ask if they want to recharge. Not as hands-off, but a decent alternative.
