Along with partners at Merck, Moderna announced positive results from the Phase 3 INTerpath-001 study of intismeran autogene, our investigational individualized neoantigen therapy, in combination with pembrolizumab as adjuvant treatment in patients with completely resected Stage IIB-IV melanoma. This marks the first and only combination regimen to demonstrate a clinically meaningful improvement over pembrolizumab alone, a current standard-of-care for these patients.
The only effect sizes on the table are from the Phase 2b KEYNOTE-942 five-year data at ASCO 2026. A 49% reduction in risk of recurrence or death (HR 0.51, 95% CI 0.294–0.887) and 59% reduction in distant metastasis or death (HR 0.411, 95% CI 0.200–0.843). That trial was ~150 patients, and Phase 2b effect sizes in small trials routinely shrink.
