If this pace was kept up Canada would add 1.3 million more people in the remainder of 2023.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chroniclejournal.com\/news\/national\/canada-welcomes-largest-number-of-immigrants-in-first-quarter-since-at-least-1972\/article_1997a3c5-a8a4-5155-ad56-2189644402c5.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Statistics Canada says Canada added more than 145,000 immigrants during the first three months of 2023.<\/a> That&#8217;s the highest number for a single quarter on record.
