The Pinkfong Company of Baby Shark Fame Partners With TinyTap to Create Early Learning Content

The Pinkfong Company, best known for the maddeningly catchy “Baby Shark” song, has announced a partnership with TinyTap. Animoca Brands subsidiary TinyTap specializes in edtech, using web3 technology to support fair revenue distribution for course creators and students.

The partnership drawn up between the two early learning champions will draw upon each company’s inherent expertise within the space. The Pinkfong Company will bring its existing content and IP, which will be licensed by TinyTap for the purposes of creating new edtech experiences. This includes the famous Baby Shark which went viral in January 2020, and two years later became the first YouTube video to reach two billion views.

Reimagining Childhood Learning

The educational products developed by TinyTap in collaboration with Pinkfong will encourage creativity and critical thinking. As a result, young minds will be stimulated while also being entertained. “We are delighted to cooperate with TinyTap to redefine the landscape of early learning in digital spaces,” said Gemma Joo, chief business officer at The Pinkfong Company. “Our mission of making learning fun and accessible aligns perfectly with TinyTap, and together we can create exceptional digital products and experiences that kids and families can enjoy while learning something new.”

The first task for the new partners will be the launch of digital educational content on the TinyTap platform. This will give children an opportunity to learn within a digital environment that will form the backdrop to their lifelong learning. The goal is to strike a balance between delivering content that is fun while also stimulating children and supporting their natural thirst for knowledge.

From Baby Shark to Web3

It’s been quite a journey for The Pinkfong Company since achieving viral success with Baby Shark. The song actually dates back to the 20th century but was reborn when Pinkfong’s version captured the imagination of parents and kids the world over. Based in South Korea, Pinkfong has released a string of popular children’s songs and dances.

The Seoul-headquartered company, founded in 2010, is also responsible for the Wonderstar TV series. Its lead characters, Pinkfong and Hogi, are an alien fox and hedgehog who lead viewers through the zany world of Wonderville.

The partnership with TinyTap will lead Pinkfong in a different direction, while still staying true to the children’s education and entertainment content that it’s famed for. TinyTap makes use of web3 technologies including blockchain and NFTs to support content creators, providing lifetime revenue while helping families tap into a trove of educational content including puzzles, games, and quizzes.

“TinyTap is thrilled to team up with The Pinkfong Company, a beloved brand that has captured the hearts of children worldwide,” said TinyTap CEO Yogev Shelly. “By combining our strengths we can offer a new dimension to early learning and create innovative, personalized, and meaningful experiences for global audiences and creators.”
