Businessweek feature Kevin Feige who is masterminding the Marvel Superhero movies at Disney.
Clearly Disney will be making Marvel superhero, Pixar animation and Star Wars on a very regular basis forever.
Detailed Roadmap at least out to series 4 of Avengers, Captain America and Iron Man, but maybe out to series 6 and 2028 or so
Marvel has a universe of thousands of characters it controls entirely. That means Feige can produce an unlimited number of films with interweaving story lines and characters, creating a vast audience for almost any Marvel movie.
There’s a map of films reaching far into the next decade on the wall of Feige’s office. “It’s like looking through the Hubble telescope. You go, ‘What’s happening back there? I can sort of see it,’ ” he laughs. “They printed out a new one recently that went to 2028.”
Avenger 2 = ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ wraps up the current slate (phase 2) of projects.
‘Ant-Man’ will kick off Phase Three. We also know that Disney has three slots reserved for upcoming Marvel projects, but we don’t know what will occupy them for certain. Reports have gone around concerning sequels to ‘Thor: The Dark World’, ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, as well as speculation about original films featuring Doctor Strange, the Inhumans, Black Panther, and Black Widow. There have even been rumors going past that group of movies saying that the New Avengers will pop up in Phase four.
In Phase III for absolute certain are:
Ant-Man
Captain America 3
Thor 3
The Avengers 3
Dr. Strange
Iron Man 4 may not come together or could see a lot of changes because of the salary issues. Iron Man could see retooling and new cast.
