Tesla has a new entry level Model S at below $80,000 and a new entry level Model X at below $90,000.
This has less range than the previous low end versions and a starting price about $10,000 less.
This could help Tesla to sell 30,000 to 40,000 Model S and X per quarter instead of 20,000 per quarter.
The new standard range Tesla Model S and X make them far more competitive against other luxury car models.
