Joe Tegtmeyer has a youtube channel where he has extensive daily coverage of what is happening at the Tesla Austin Texas Gigafactory. Joe operates drone coverage of the entire site.
Joe has determined that General Assembly line 3 is being built now and it will be used for the next generation car.
A lot of equipment has been installed for the assembly line for the next generation car.
There is room inside the Texas factory for the Cybertruck line and for the next generation car assembly line. This is in addition to the Model Y line.
Tesla is expanding the length of the factory by 400 feet. The metal framing has been added for the extension. The extension will increase the length from about 4100 feet to 4500 feet. The building has 4 stories. This would add about 320,000 to 400,000 square feet over the four levels.
