SpaceX Launched Over 5000 Starlink Satellites and Starship Success Would Mean Sixteen Times the Bandwidth Next Year

SpaceX has launched over 5000 Starlink satellites but about 4000 are working in the right orbital location and 600 are moving into position.

If SpaceX is successful in launching the SpaceX Super Heavy Starship to orbit then by the end of next year SpaceX will have launched all of the 7500 approved full sized Gen 2 satellites. This will be nearly twice the number of currently operational Starlink satellites and each will have about nine times the bandwidth capacity as the current Gen 1.5 satellites.

  1. Will Skynet, oops I mean starlink, assist quantum computers, and artificial intelligence to merge together in a unified effort to enhance the quality of life for all of humanity, and planet Earth? or will it become the Terminator with sentient robots? I’ll be back 😎

  2. Can’t wait to experience the full power of SPACE-X.
This is human in technology and I believe it would reduce human stress but the issue here is, so many would lose their jobs as Ai droids would be more efficient… 🤦
I guess the only option left would be enlisting to be a soldier 🔪🔫

  3. Yeah, I concur, Elon’s da man!! I’m about to get online with Starlink. We’re so excited to be a part of this new revelation. Elon could adopt me if he’d like!! LOL

  4. Yes, I’ll be happy when all 25,000 of those units are encompassing all aspects of planet earthly humanoids

Infinities appreciation throughout Elon musk I’ve been trying to get signed up to get NeuroLink MYSELVES2 FANTASTICALLY

  5. Starlink V2 will support direct communication with existing mobile devices, including ordinary smartphones. SpaceX already has a deal with with TMobile to integrate this coverage where they don’t have it and is adding other service providers globally.
The capacity to have lowish bandwidth data connections with smartphones and other mobile devices literally everywhere on the planet will be transformative. It will be there for emergencies everywhere even when ordinary coverage is knocked out.

It’s worth noting that lowish bandwidth works very well for Twitter/X, text messaging, or financial transactions.

  6. Gratifying to see many doubters eating their words.

Starlink isn’t competing with mobile networks, which cover mostly urban centers. It covers the rest of the Earth’s surface that is poorly covered by 4G/5G or anything, wherever it’s legal and allowed for them to operate.

Soon other competitors will emerge, trying to leverage satellite networks for cell phone voice and SMS/data coverage, but again, Starlink isn’t against that either. It’s for anyone with a remote home/vehicle and a viable power source wanting urban-level Internet anywhere.
