Germany has suspended operations for three months at seven reactors and they are reconsidering whether to extend the operation of nuclear reactors. In Europe Poland, Belarus are countries that are near Germany that will be pressing on to build reactors. Those countries are beside Germany and could sell electricity to Germany.
Russia is to build a nuclear power station for Belarus and provide the $9.4 billion required as a loan to its smaller neighbor. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin oversaw the signing of a deal in Minsk on Tuesday that foresees a two-block facility coming fully online by 2018.
If Germany does use less domestic nuclear power they will build more domestic coal plants and import power from other countries.
