Star Wars the Last Jedi is definitely worth seeing on the big screen.
Positives
– The best Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) performance
– Daisy Ridley ..Rey was good
– Carrie Fisher (Leia) was good
– Adam Driver ..Kylo Ren was mostly good
– Porgs were not a problem, the way Ewoks
The story had some mostly welcome surprises and it did move beyond aspects of what has gone before.
There were funny moments. There was drama and tension. The actions sequences were mainly solid.
Certain plot issues and problems that existed in Force Awakens and Star Wars in general carried over into the Last Jedi.
It was entertaining but do not think too much about the plot. It is easy to pick it apart. So for your own enjoyment just go with it.
