Israel and Hamas Are At War Again

Thousands of rockets are being fired from Gaza by Hamas at Israel. There were hundreds of invaders, raiders and kidnappers who were able to cross into Israel. Hundreds are dead and injured. Israel has responded with air strikes and mobilization.

Over 50 women and some Israeli police and soldiers were kidnapped.

Paragliders and boats were used to cross over barriers.

The Hamas operation has clearly been months in the planning and buildup.

Hamas has used Iranian support to launch several wars against Israel from its base in Gaza, including in 2008, 2009, 2014, and 2021. In each of those attacks, thousands of rockets were fired by terror organizations toward Israeli population centers.

Hamas has previously used tunnels to cross from Gaza into Israel.

On September 11, 2023, Secretary of State Antony Blinken issued a sweeping waiver to international banks allowing the transfer of $6 billion in frozen Iranian funds from South Korea to Qatar without the threat of U.S. sanctions, according to the State Department report notifying Congress of its decision. Iran will then be permitted to use the funds to buy food, medicine or other humanitarian items allowed under U.S. economic sanctions.

  1. I suspect this is mostly about the slowly growing peaceful ties between Arab nations and Israel. Can’t have that…
