IEA OECD Electricity Production January 2011

The IEA’s Monthly Electricity Statistics provides timely electricity production and trade data for all member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

Japan will clearly lose about 6-8 TWH of nuclear electricity and electricity from other sources starting in March (half of the month) and then in April.

For the first two months of 2011, US nuclear plants generated 136.6 billion kWh, 0.9% lower than 2010. The February capacity factor was 94.9 percent compared to 96.1 percent in 2010 and 94.9 percent in 2009.
