Bell Helicopter revealed the cabin of a 4-seater autonomous flying electric taxi at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2018). It did not have the wings and propellers.
A full-sized version has been built and is already in test flights.
There will be a gas turbine which will power an electric generator. Initially, it will be a hybrid electric vehicle. Bell’s Air taxi service will start sometime in the 2020s. It should have a range of 150 miles or more. Eventually an all electric version will be made.
