Senior Officials in Australia’s government claim the US will be prepared to Bomb Iran by August

According to senior figures in the Australian Government say the US is almost ready to bomb sites related to Iran’s nuclear program, in a move that would no doubt impact the wider region.

The United States is reportedly prepared to bomb Iran’s nuclear capability as early as next month — and Australia will have a role to play.

Australian agencies could potentially help isolate targets as part of our ongoing Five Eyes intelligence pact with the US, the UK, Canada and New Zealand — although they noted Canada and New Zealand would be unlikely to play a military role in the conflict.

The US has a few dozen 30,000 pound GBU-57A/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator (super bunker busters).

The US has ordered several 33,000 pound GBU-57D/B Massive Ordnance Penetrators.

In June, 2018, Superior Forge and Steel Corp were awarded a $476,935,075 ceiling indefinite/delivery indefinite-quantity contract for BLU-137/B penetrator warhead production. This contract provides for the production of the BLU-137/B penetrator warhead bodies with a guaranteed production of 300 bodies during the first year with a possibility of up to 3,500 bodies in the subsequent four years.

A. Finkl & Sons Co. were awarded a $419,633,500 ceiling indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for BLU-137/B penetrator warhead production. This contract provides for the production of the BLU-137/B penetrator warhead bodies with a guaranteed production of 300 bodies during the first year with a possibility of up to 3,500 bodies in the subsequent four years.

The BLU-137 is an improved and re-designated BLU-109 designed to correct deficiencies and improve the reliability of the weapon.

Smaller bunker busters bombs are only supposed to be able to break through approximately four to six feet of reinforced concrete. New fuzing components are supposed to survive burrowing down at least 10 times this distance into hardened targets.

  1. Must admit the ABC article which sparked this one didn’t convince me. The only hard data I noticed in it was mention of Australian/US intelligence collaboration at Pine Gap. It seems quite implausible to me that the US would tell us about a pending attack on Iran, or anything else really.

  3. Unnamed source” Pfffft. We’ve got unnamed sources right here that claim that the world will have unlimited power from perpetual motion machines and cold fusion. So why would anyone care about Iran? At least one of these sources must be wrong.

  5. I would agree with you in a normal context, but in this case, I can see either misinformation or semi credible bluster as the threat factor … if provided as a ‘leak’. This way there would be the implied threat, but also plausible deniability if everything starts to go south … this way Lord Orange can either look grim and imposing with various recorded aggressive ambiguous gestures … or simply claim ‘fake news’ … This would be a corruption of the “Speak softly but carry a big stick …” made into “Behave and speak in unexpected and aggressive ways, and threaten by way of inserted rumor.

  8. “Unnamed source”
    Pfffft.

We’ve got unnamed sources right here that claim that the world will have unlimited power from perpetual motion machines and cold fusion. So why would anyone care about Iran? At least one of these sources must be wrong.
