1000 US Logistics Unit Will Be Exposed While Building Aid Pier

The US 7th Expeditionary Force of 1000 troops is building the floating logistics facility shown above a few hundred yards from Gaza. This is a special logistics unit that needs a security unit to protect them.

There will be no US beach security Pentagon spokesman Major General Ryder. “Partners” will on shore. The US will not put forces on the beach.

This is being classified as a NONHOSTILE overseas operation.

Security will be provided by the host nation.

IDF and the US engineers will be exposed to to provide this aid. It is unclear what assurances if any have been provided by Hamas for this operation.

Normally, there would be a full US battalion with air and sea support to ensure protection.

There were claims that five people were killed when parachutes failed to deploy and aid dropped onto people. A U.S. official rejected reports that U.S. airdrops were to blame.

  1. They’re just relying on a hostile terrorist organization for security, that’s all. I’m sure nothing could go wrong, since they’re doing it to resupply the terrorist organization.

Ok, seriously: The mind boggles at just how disconnected from reality the people making these decisions must be. Even if they place, (As they must.) no value at all on the lives of the soldiers, even if they, (As they must.) place no value at all on the lives of the people the resupplied terrorists will rape and kill, how can they think this doesn’t blow up in their faces politically?

It must be that, the stupider and the more destructive the act, the more ‘virtue signaling’ cred you get from committing it, and that cred is all they value.

  2. The other simple option would be to use the border crossing at Rafah which would allow aid from Egypt. Or is this just a PR stunt to make up for the 10’s of thousands of bombs being sent to Israel

  3. As opposed to sending a heavily armed group of a hundred or so “western colonizers” wading into Gaza with them?

That would be an equally red flag and prime Hamas bait.

But this way, if the pier that partially bypasses Israels blockade is attacked then Hamas will be in a lose-lose-lose situation.

Hamas is doomed regardless, but will their fat-cat leadership wish to hasten it?

    We’ll see…

  4. My first ship had been the one to send in a shore party to pull the Marines bodies out in Beirut, a year or so before I got there. I talked with a guy who told me about searching for a size 12 foot to go with the corpse missing one.

I don’t see how this ends well.
