This was SpaceX Falcon 9’s launch of Dragon’s fifth operational human spaceflight mission (Crew-5) to the International Space Station from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The launch was successful.

They make success look routine. I surprised myself imagining something going awry and requiring the capsule ejection, for a change of the picture perfect launch they did.
Yeah, that’s not nice but imagination can run ahead of you.
The first time they lose somebody in one of their manned launches, and it is inevitable that they will eventually, it’s going to be a real shocker to people. Hopefully the government doesn’t totally over-react and shut them down for a year.
It’s success built on a bedrock of technology/engineering proven through many, many tests and iterations of the design before they even got to Falcon 9.
Superheavy/Starship has to go back through that same rollercoaster before it will be able to run missions like this – it’s not some trivial scaling up, at minimum because the Raptor engines are very different from the Merlin engines in the Falcon 9 series of rockets.
